Omer and Bev Leveque welcome you to Fireside. Established in 1942 as an officer's billet, Fireside took its name from a huge fire pit where soldiers stopped to warm themselves. The 54-room lodge served travelers until 1982, when a devestating wild fire leveled much of the settlement and 400,000 surrounding acres.

Literally built from the ashes, present day Fireside continues the long tradition of hospitality to travelers.

Fireside Inn features beautifully decorated rooms, all with brand new queen sized beds. We provide complimentary shampoo and conditioner, body lotion, toothpaste, and mouth wash. Enjoy a liqueur before turning in, and a complimentary breakfast in Dora's Cafe before heading up the road.

Or stay in our full hookup RV park

Our brand new 40 seat licensed restaurant offers home cooked meals, including complete breakfasts, home-made soups, and great burgers. All of our sandwiches are made fresh to order. Satisfy your sweet tooth with butter tarts, brownies, muffins, hard and soft ice cream, and more.

Unleaded, super, and diesel fuel available. Tire repair and 24-hour towing. AAA AND CAA approved.

Bev is famous for her cream pies. She cooks 120 different cream pies. If you don't believe it, pick up Bev's cookbook and count them for yourself.

Omer and Bev were doing Alaska tours for seniors in 1986 when they bought the burned out Fireside property. Since then they have built it into what you enjoy today.
