ALASKA HIGHWAY:
Dawson Creek to Charlie Lake
BRITISH COLUMBIA RV PARKS AND CAMPGROUNDS

Headed south? Take the John Hart Highway to Prince George

For most people the real adventure begins at Dawson Creek. We recommend that travelers access Mile Zero via the Hart Highway rather than direct from Edmonton. We explain why on the START page. Dawson Creek may seem a bit crowded in peak season with lots of RVs in town, but don't worry; out on the highway things thin out rapidly and you'll soon feel the remoteness that led one soldier to describe it as "miles and miles of miles and miles." The NE corner of BC is on mountain time, but does not observe daylight savings, so they stay the same as the rest of the province through the summer.
